Policies

  • Before beginning care, a meet and greet is required to ensure compatibility.

  • For pets’ safety and comfort, I do not use aversive training methods, aversive equipment, or retractable leads. Aversive training equipment include but are not limited to choke, prong, and shock collars, citronella collars, invisible fencing, the use of spray bottles or loud noises to deter behavior or anything that will provoke a fear response in animals. I am committed to creating a positive and enriching environment for your pets, advancing husbandry for domestic animals, and using science backed positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.

  • For my safety and community safety, I do not provide care for outdoor, free roaming or feral cats or dogs. Due to the risk of bites, disease, and the negative impact on wildlife, I cannot provide care for these types of animals. If you care for feral cats, please contact Pet Community Center regarding their no cost Trap, Neuter, Return program.

  • Same day cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee of up to the full cost of the service.

  • Drop in visits for dog parents that are out of town must be at least three visits per day if the dog(s) do not have access to the outdoors/potty area.

  • All animals must be up to date on current vaccinations, vetting and prevention to the standard of their species.

  • While I do care for fearful and reactive animals, I require that this is discussed beforehand to avoid any potential triggers during the visit. Bite histories must be disclosed as well as any other pertinent behavioral concerns. Failure to disclose bite history and behavioral concerns will result in dismissal from service.
